In 2024, a group of Hong Kong Sign Language interpreters came together and established this association.
We want to build a diverse and thriving sign language interpreter community in Hong Kong, while holding ourselves accountable to providing high-quality service.
Our work
Connection
We want to provide opportunities for Hong Kong Sign Language interpreters to meet each other. By sharing work experiences and offering friendly support to newcomers, we weave a network where you can find someone who understands who you are and what you do.
Training
We are passionate about sign language interpreting and organize workshops, short courses, seminars, and online discussions. Our goal is for everyone—both participants and presenters—to learn from one another and broaden our shared body of knowledge.
Education
Accessibility isn’t just for deaf people; it’s for everyone. We welcome collaboration with all walks of society to promote public education, so more people understand how to use sign language interpreters and various accessibility services.
Advocacy
By engaging in dialogues with other interpreters, we want to understand the challenges we all face and discuss ways to improve our working conditions. Together, we will raise public awareness of the work we do.
