After interviewing some local sign language interpreters from diverse backgrounds, we have understood the difficulties and needs they encounter in their interpreting careers, as well as their thoughts on the sign language interpreting industry. In the upcoming co-learning series, we will exchange ideas and encourage each other around the following themes: negotiation, advocating for a positive working environment, building interpreter networks, the future development of the industry, and public education.
We will be holding six co-learning workshops, hoping to unite the local sign language interpreter community. We sincerely invite you, who are working in sign language interpreting, to participate.
