Gliding in music with signs: A Theatrical Interpreting journey

Theatrical Interpreting has developed for quite some time in Hong Kong, but in recent months, their presence has begun to appear more widely in the public eye. Whether it's large-scale concerts of overseas bands, or major music awards ceremonies, interpreters are among them, using sign language, moving together with the music.

For the second online conversation of this year, we have invited Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong representatives, Yung Yung and Tadeo, Theatrical Interpreters Michael and Karen, to talk about the overall development of arts accessibility with the deaf community. If deaf people want to attend more mainstream performing arts, how should one build a path? How should arts administrators and frontline interpreters work together? How do interpreters create a signed version from a setlist of a concert? As a sign language interpreter who is also curious about Theatrical Interpreting, how do you know if you are the "right person"?

This is an interactive event, and you are welcome to ask questions and share your experiences.
